Rap superstar Kanye West is reportedly close to settling a lawsuit brought by his former personal assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, nearly two years after she accused the rapper of sexual harassment and other misconduct.
According to newly filed court documents, lawyers representing both sides met for mediation on June 4 and agreed in principle to resolve the case out of court. A judge later removed a scheduled hearing from the court calendar to give the parties time to finalize the settlement.
Pisciotta first sued West in June 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment, wrongful termination and breach of contract. She later amended the lawsuit to include additional allegations, including sexual assault, sexual battery, stalking, sex trafficking and false imprisonment.
West has denied the allegations. Following the initial lawsuit, his legal team described the claims as “baseless” and said he intended to pursue legal action against Pisciotta.
The reported settlement comes as West faces separate allegations from model Jenn An, who recently told the BBC that the rapper sexually assaulted her during a music video audition in 2010. West has denied those allegations through his representatives.
If finalized, the agreement with Pisciotta would bring an end to one of the highest-profile civil cases filed against West in recent years.
The terms of the proposed settlement have not been disclosed.
