Mark Da Urban says he earned a place on Jamaican music star Spice‘s concert lineup by stepping forward long before he was booked to perform.
Speaking during an interview on Next Radio, the dancehall singer revealed that he was not among the artists initially selected for the show.
Rather than wait for an invitation, he offered to create promotional content for the concert at no cost.

I was not on the performers’ list either. I only got added because I showed interest in creating content and promoting the show for free. They realized my importance and later added me.
The conversation later shifted to Fik Gaza, whose absence from the concert had drawn attention.
Although Mark said he would have liked to see Fik Gaza perform, he believes booking decisions often go beyond talent.

I would have loved Fik Gaza to perform, but the conduct and personality of the brands people want to work with matter a lot.
For Mark Da Urban, an artist’s work may open the door, but professionalism and personal conduct also shape the opportunities that follow.
