Munyagwa Casts Doubt on Paul Kafeero DNA Results – Nile Scoop

The controversy surrounding Paul Kafeero‘s DNA results has taken another dramatic turn after Mubaraka Munyagwa rejected the findings, insisting he does not trust the process that produced them.

Appearing in an interview, the former presidential candidate argued that too many questions remain unanswered for the results to be accepted without challenge.

One detail, in particular, left him deeply suspicious.

I do not believe those DNA results at all. How do the four people who were declared to be Kafeero’s children all come in the same car? That alone raises questions for me.

For Munyagwa, that was enough to cast doubt over the entire exercise.

He insisted the samples should never have been tested in Uganda, arguing that independent laboratories in two different countries would have given the public greater confidence in the outcome.

If it were up to me, the samples should have been taken to two different countries for testing, not done here in Uganda. That would give people confidence in the results.

His doubts did not end there.

Munyagwa went on to allege that outside influence could have compromised the process, claiming he believes the results were manipulated.

I believe those results were rigged. Someone could have paid or bribed people to influence the process. That is why I do not trust what was released.

He also urged the government not to embrace the findings, insisting the process lacked the transparency needed to convince him that the outcome was genuine.

I do not believe in those results, and I think even the government should disclaim them because what came out regarding Paul Kafeero’s children is not right.

Munyagwa’s remarks add another voice to the growing debate surrounding the DNA exercise conducted on June 25, which identified only four of the 25 people tested as biological children of the late kadongo kamu singer.

While some family members have accepted the findings, others continue to challenge the process and its outcome.
