John Segawa has criticized Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa for questioning the credibility of the DNA results involving the family of the late Paul Kafeero.
Speaking after the findings were made public, the veteran Ugandan actor argued that doubting the results also amounts to questioning the credibility of the government institutions that conducted the DNA exercise.
If he says he does not believe the results, then it means he does not believe in government services, yet it is the same government that gave him the office he is serving in.
Segawa maintained that the DNA process had finally settled years of uncertainty and insisted the findings should be respected.
His remarks add another voice to the growing debate surrounding the DNA exercise, with some public figures defending the results while others continue to question the findings.
The DNA results, released on June 25, confirmed that only four of the 25 people who underwent testing were biological children of the late Paul Kafeero, bringing years of speculation over the Kadongo Kamu legend’s lineage to a close.
