Jesse Jagz Slams Celebrities Promoting Betting Brands

Jesse Jagz has sparked debate after taking aim at celebrities who endorse betting and gambling companies.

The Nigerian rapper did not mince words as he criticised entertainers who promote gambling brands, arguing that public figures should not encourage an industry that many believe contributes to gambling addiction.

Sharing his thoughts on X, Jesse Jagz delivered a blunt message.

We suppose to dey stone any artist promoting bets and gambling.

His remarks quickly drew mixed reactions online, with some users agreeing that celebrities should be more mindful of the products they promote, while others argued that endorsement deals are simply part of the entertainment business.

Nigeria has one of Africa’s largest betting markets, with millions of young adults participating in sports betting and other forms of gambling.

As the industry has expanded, betting companies have increasingly turned to musicians, actors, comedians and social media influencers to market their brands.

Jesse Jagz’s comments have reignited conversations about whether celebrities should bear responsibility for the social impact of the products they choose to endorse.
