Pastor Martin Ssempa Says Fatherhood Goes Beyond DNA

The ongoing conversation surrounding the late Kadongo Kamu singer Paul Kafeero‘s DNA results has drawn reactions from across the country, and Pastor Martin Ssempa has now shared where he stands on the issue.

Speaking on Sanyuka TV, Ssempa said he has no desire to take a DNA test because he believes fatherhood extends beyond blood.

I do not want DNA. I am a father of many.

The pastor explained that he measures fatherhood by the love, care, and guidance a person gives, not by genetics alone.

He said his belief reflects Christian teaching, which calls on believers to embrace one another instead of allowing biological differences to define their relationships.

Turning to the Kafeero family, Ssempa appealed for reconciliation following the recent DNA findings.

He urged everyone involved to forgive one another, remain united, and resist the temptation to let the test results create lasting divisions.

According to Ssempa, DNA can establish biological relationships, but it cannot replace the values that hold families together.
