South African music star Makhadzi has added another major accolade to her growing collection after winning Best Dancer of the Year at the TRACE Awards.
The Limpopo-born performer beat a strong field of nominees from across the continent, including Kamo Mphela (South Africa), Dancegod Lloyd (Ghana), Incredible Zigi (Ghana), Ikorodu Bois (Nigeria), Telminho (Angola), Ordinateur (Côte d’Ivoire) and Isaac Kalonji (DR Congo), underlining her reputation as one of Africa’s most electrifying live performers.
Makhadzi, who was also nominated for Best Female Artist, celebrated the victory with an emotional message to her fans, thanking them for standing by her throughout her journey.
