A bar receipt showing more than UGX 69 million allegedly spent in a single night at Club Guvnor has become one of the biggest talking points on Ugandan social media.
The receipt, which has circulated widely since Saturday night, reportedly came from Saturday Night Fever, the weekly event hosted by media personality Sheilah Gashumba, also known as Lil Stunner.
Its eye-watering total immediately caught the attention of social media users, many of whom struggled to believe one group could spend that much money in just a few hours.
Some questioned whether the receipt belonged to a single table, while others joked that the amount exceeded what they could earn in a lifetime.
As the conversation gathered momentum online, Sheilah Gashumba added another twist.
Sharing the receipt on her social media platforms, she claimed the bill belonged to one of her Arab friends.
Arabs know how to spend money.
According to Sheilah, the guest had originally promised to spend UGX 100 million at one of her events.
She explained that the group was smaller than expected that night, resulting in a bill of more than UGX 69 million after about two hours.
The receipt has continued to generate debate online, with many Ugandans expressing shock at the amount while others simply viewed it as another example of luxury spending in Kampala’s nightlife scene.
