Whenever relationships hit rough patches, social media often takes the blame.
From unanswered messages and suspicious online interactions to endless scrolling and viral relationship advice, many people believe platforms such as Snapchat, Instagram, and WhatsApp have made it harder for couples to build trust, communicate, and stay connected.
Media personality Tracy Mildred, however, believes social media has become an easy target for problems that begin long before anyone picks up a phone.
Speaking on Sanyuka TV‘s She Talk, Tracy argued that the real challenge lies in the people behind the screens, not the platforms themselves.

I feel like social media is just a tool. We are the ones with the problem.
Rather than blaming technology, Tracy believes couples should take a closer look at the way they communicate and understand each other.
In her view, communication and compatibility have always determined the strength of a relationship, regardless of how active people are on social media.

You cannot blame social media because you do not know how to communicate better with your partner, understand them better, or because the two of you are not compatible.
For Tracy, improving relationships starts with improving ourselves.
I think those are personal traits that we need to work on. Once we fix them, our relationships will become better. Social media is not the problem.
Social media itself is not the problem; it is simply a tool, and the impact depends on how people choose to use it. – Tracy #SheTalkKuSanyuka #SanyukaUpdates #FfeBannoDdala pic.twitter.com/XiO8naU4QA
