Gashumba: There’s no formula in finding the right partner for marriage; it’s purely luck

Ugandan political and social commentator Frank Gashumba believes that choosing the right partner for marriage is not a straightforward process and requires a lot of luck to find the right one.

Now in a happy marriage, Frank Gashumba has been single for the longest time. He claims to have been in the dating field for over 20 years.

On a podcast, Gashumba revealed how it is tough finding the right person to settle with today because the quality of marriage partners has drastically dropped over the years, and you would be lucky to find a perfect match.

There is no formula in this; it is luck getting the right person. I know pretty, innocent, hardworking, and supportive young ladies who end up dating the opposite. I know very hardworking, handsome men who end up dating the opposite. I’ve been in this game for 20 years; you cannot lecture me on relationships and marriages. I’ve been there. If a crocodile tells you there are no more fish in the lake, believe it. I know what I’m talking about.

He also cautioned lovers always to take a critical observation of their partners’ friends and to protect each other with everything they have.

If you are dating someone, look at their friends. Your friends can ruin your relationship. Some of them pretend they’re happy for your friendship but are lowkey praying for the day you’ll break up. I’d have to know your friends to guide you like my own son or daughter. I have to do everything that protects our love.
