Mary Bata has expressed her excitement after joining the lineup for the upcoming Ataakulaba Akunyooma concert, one of Uganda’s biggest celebrations of Kadongo Kamu music.
The event will take place on July 31 at Sheraton Hotel Kampala Gardens, bringing together legendary musicians and other performers for an evening of traditional music, storytelling and cultural poetry.
Mary Bata said the opportunity means a lot to her and promised fans a memorable performance.
The singer also revealed that Nalongo Makula now manages her career. She credited her manager for helping her secure more performance opportunities and opening new doors in the music industry.
Mary Bata dismissed the public perception that Nalongo Makula is harsh, describing her instead as a kind, lively and supportive woman who has played a big role in her recent progress.
