Sheilah Gashumba will not be part of this year’s Spinny and Friends Summer Festival after doctors advised her to put her health first.
Sharing the news on social media, the media personality said her body had broken down after weeks of moving from one commitment to another without enough rest.
Sheila revealed that she is recovering from the flu, fever and a persistent cough.
Following medical advice, she cancelled her travel plans and stepped away from all work commitments.
The second edition of the Spinny and Friends Summer Festival will take place from July 18 to 19 at Gahanga Cricket Stadium, with Kabza De Small among the headline performers.
Before signing off, Sheila apologized to DJ Spinny and said missing the festival was especially difficult because she attended the first edition in December, when heavy rain interrupted the celebrations.
Unfortunately my body has seriously broken down! I knew this was coming but I kept pushing and pushing back to back, with not enough rest.
