Dubbing the Ugandan industry as “currently boring”, dancehall artist Kapa Cat, real name Catherine Tumusiime, has revealed how she would be willing to battle anyone to promote and bring the industry back to its former glory days.
In an interview, the ‘Just In Case’ singer revealed how she has already approached a couple of artists with a proposition to have a musical battle, but several have coiled their tails in fear.
She mentioned how she presented the idea of a musical battle with Karole Kasita, who recently held a successful concert at Serena Hotel, but she declined.
The industry is boring, so boring that I have approached some female artists and proposed music battles, but they always chicken out. I actually met Karole (Kasita) in person and asked her for a music battle, but she chickened out. This generation of artists is a dull one.
Kapa Cat also expressed her readiness to battle any artist, male or female, except dancehall’s favourite, Peter Miles.
