Chris Brown Pleads Guilty to Affray Over 2023 London Nightclub Incident

Chris Brown has pleaded guilty to affray in connection with a 2023 altercation at a London nightclub.

The R&B singer appeared before Southwark Crown Court alongside his co-defendant, Omololu Akinlolu, where both admitted using or threatening unlawful violence during an incident involving music producer Abraham Diaw at Tape nightclub in February 2023.

The guilty pleas mean Brown will no longer stand trial on more serious charges.

Prosecutors dropped counts of attempted grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

Brown and Akinlolu will return to court for sentencing on October 26.

Affray is a public order offence under UK law that involves using or threatening unlawful violence in a way that could cause others to fear for their safety.
