Rapper Victor Kamenyo has broken his silence after his baby mama, Ruth Akoragye, publicly accused him of neglecting their child.
The allegations surfaced just days after Akoragye expressed her frustration on social media, claiming the rapper had failed to live up to his responsibilities as a father. She also accused him of using her to serve his personal interests before issuing an ultimatum, warning that she would expose more details about their troubled relationship if the matter was not resolved.
In response, Kamenyo dismisses the claims, saying the two had only recently settled their misunderstandings and were on relatively good terms. To support his account, he revealed that some of his personal belongings are still at Akoragye’s home.
The rapper further claimed that the conflict escalated unexpectedly after Akoragye demanded UGX 40,000 per day for their child’s transport to school, an amount he says totals approximately UGX 3.4 million each school term.
According to Kamenyo, once transport, school fees, food, medical expenses, and other necessities are added together, the total cost exceeds UGX 9 million per term, a figure he insists is beyond what he can currently afford.
“She told me when the son makes three years, he starts school, but every day she was asking for Shs 40,000 for Uber and I saw that’s a lot of money because monthly that’s Shs 1.2 million and Shs 3.4 million a term. She insisted on it and I stood as a man and refused,” he said.
While maintaining that he is willing to support his child, Kamenyo argued that the financial demands being made are unrealistic given his present financial situation.
