Renowned media personality Little Joe Mpologoma has shared his perspective on religion and faith, arguing that not everyone who publicly preaches about God genuinely lives by the values they profess.
Speaking about his personal journey, Little Joe revealed that he has explored both Christianity and Islam, experiences he says shaped his understanding of faith and those who lead religious communities.
According to him, he came to realize that some of the people widely regarded as deeply spiritual or devout are, in reality, more interested in making money through religion than nurturing genuine faith.
What I realized about religion is that some people whom many expect to be the holiest or to have the deepest faith in God are not necessarily the most genuine believers. Some simply use religion as a way of making money.
Little Joe Mpologoma also criticized some preachers for using harsh and condemning language, questioning how such behavior aligns with the teachings of the faith they claim to represent.
Sometimes when you listen carefully to people preaching, much of what comes from their mouths is cursing others. If you truly believe in God, why are you constantly cursing people? For many of them, their words are completely different from their actions.
While emphasizing that his views stem from his own experiences and observations, Little Mpologoma called for greater authenticity among religious leaders, suggesting that genuine faith should be reflected not only in sermons but also in everyday conduct.
