Media personality Sheilah Gashumba has revealed that she is now considering having children with her boyfriend, Alex Bidandi, despite previously never envisioning herself getting married or starting a family.
Speaking during a YouTube podcast with Kasuku and Frank Ntambi, Sheilah said meeting Alex changed her perspective on marriage and having children.
She described him as a focused and hardworking man who has earned the respect of her family, particularly her father.
Alex is the only man who has successfully entered inside my Dad’s gate. Not once, not twice. Alex enters the house and my Dad comes from upstairs to downstairs and he greets him. Alex is a guy who’s very focused, very hardworking.
Sheilah also credited Alex for helping her become more financially disciplined. She explained that before meeting him, she would often spend her money freely, but Alex encourages her to think more carefully about her finances and investments.
The couple appears to be taking their relationship seriously, with Sheilah revealing that marriage discussions would involve thorough background checks from both families.
She said her father would investigate Alex’s background, while Alex’s family would also conduct their own checks on her before marriage.
I told him my Dad will do research on him, from the time he was born up to his adulthood and even him, his parents will do a background check on me.
