Music fans hoping to see Spice Diana and Sheebah Karungi bury their past differences and rekindle their friendship may have to wait a little longer.
The two former friends and music rivals recently found themselves sharing a stage in Mbarara during an event activation, prompting excitement among fans who have long hoped to see them reconcile.
Both artists attended a press conference ahead of the event at Soho Terrace Mbarara and later performed on the same stage, creating several seemingly warm moments between them.
But while the reunion may have looked like a sign of a thawing relationship, Sheebah was quick to clarify that there is no personal connection between them beyond their work for the same brand.
“No, no, no, no, no. There’s no connection; there’s business. We are working. Don’t get it twisted. Thank you,” Sheebah said.
Her remarks sparked mixed reactions online, with some social media users describing her response as arrogant, particularly in comparison to Spice Diana’s more positive take on working alongside her former friend.
Spice said she was happy to share the campaign with Sheebah and saw no problem with their professional reunion.
“It’s beautiful; I don’t think there is a problem with that. We are both brand ambassadors of Castle Lite, and it’s been nice working together on the same campaign,” she said.
The two artists were once close before their relationship reportedly soured, with their fallout becoming a subject of public interest among Ugandan music fans.
Their recent appearance together has therefore reignited curiosity about whether the two could eventually settle their differences.
For now, however, Sheebah appears to be drawing a clear line between business and friendship.
