Concern is growing over Ugandan TikToker Timothy Kayanja, popularly known as Jayden, after he was reportedly returned to the ICU while undergoing treatment in India.
Entertainment journalist Isaac Katende, popularly known as Kasuku, revealed that Jayden’s condition has taken a turn for the worse following a bone marrow transplant he underwent at Fortis Hospital early last month.
According to Kasuku, Jayden initially showed signs of improvement after the procedure, and he was even able to speak to him recently.
However, his condition has reportedly deteriorated, with Kasuku saying he received information from someone close to Jayden’s treatment that the TikToker had been taken back to the ICU in a serious condition.
“His condition is really bad. This is the worst stage after the surgery. His immunity is really low,” Kasuku said.
He explained that Jayden’s family had been warned that the period following the transplant would be particularly difficult because his body needs time to adjust to the procedure and his immunity remains extremely low.
Kasuku added that full recovery from the transplant can take up to two years, but the first six months are considered particularly critical.
“If he survives the first six months, he is good to go,” he said.
Jayden remains at Fortis Hospital, where he is continuing to receive treatment.
