Kings Love Entertainment boss and singer King Saha, real name Mansur Ssemanda, has condemned security agencies over his recent arrest and the alleged shooting and injury of some of his supporters.
Speaking to the press, King Saha criticized what he described as excessive force by security personnel, arguing that there were better ways of handling the situation without causing injuries and damage.

He said the actions of the security forces left a negative impression on the public, warning that some of the affected people could take a long time to heal from the physical and emotional impact of the incident.
That action wasn’t called for, and we condemn anyone who led it because he did a very bad thing. I think there would have been a different way to handle or manage such a situation. We’re now on the ground and all alive, but what do the memories say?
King Saha further revealed that two of his supporters were receiving treatment at Mulago Hospital, with one reportedly facing the possibility of losing his leg.
He questioned who would ultimately bear the cost of injuries and other damage allegedly caused during the operation.
I have two patients at Mulago Hospital. One, we’re not sure whether his leg will be cut off, and for that case I condemn the security forces. In some situations, they apply excessive force. They came and fired shots at people’s children, and no one is following up on them in the hospitals. One is going to have a metal inserted in his leg, and the other might lose his leg. Now, all that damage, you think it’s going to be on whose budget?
The singer also insisted that he is a law-abiding citizen and would have willingly responded to a summons instead of security agencies allegedly resorting to force and causing damage to businesses and vehicles.
I’m a law-abiding citizen. It’s only a summons that you need here and I will show up, rather than going on to damage and vandalize people’s businesses and vehicles. Even arresting me, I have no problem with it because I already jailed myself in Nakawuka. I’m used to staying alone.
King Saha also alleged that after his arrest, he was taken to an undisclosed location where he claims he was assaulted using wires and sticks.
They arrested me, took me to a place, beat me up with wires and pricked me with sticks. The person who sent you, does he expect to see me again or not?
