JAY-Z has reached a new Spotify milestone nearly a decade after releasing his last solo album.
The rap icon recorded more than 11.1 million streams across all credits on August 15, according to Spotify tracking data, giving him his biggest single-day total on the platform.
The surge comes as his monthly audience has climbed to nearly 48 million listeners, despite the rapper not releasing a solo studio album since “4:44” in 2017.
JAY-Z’s catalogue continues to attract listeners through both his solo records and collaborations, including tracks such as “Empire State of Mind,” “99 Problems” and “Crazy in Love.”
Nearly 30 years after releasing his debut album “Reasonable Doubt,” the rapper remains one of the biggest names in hip-hop, with his older music continuing to generate millions of streams.
