Zuena Urges Youths to Stop Begging on TikTok Live and Get to Work

Zuena Kimera has had enough of young people turning TikTok Lives into a place to ask for money.

The wife of singer Bebe Cool challenged youths who regularly enter livestreams and ask personalities for financial help, urging them to spend that energy finding ways to earn a living.

Speaking during a TikTok Live, Zuena said she struggles to understand why some young people wake up with begging as their plan for the day.

I do not understand the youths of today. You wake up and plan to just beg.

She said some viewers enter her livestreams and quickly turn to requests for money.

You just come to our lives and start saying, ‘Mummy Zu, mpa ku sente.’

For Zuena, the time spent moving from one livestream to another asking for handouts could instead go into finding work.

She used her own routine to make the point, saying she and her team had already been working since 7 AM.

Imagine if I too were sitting like you, begging, but I chose not to. I decided to go out and work.

She urged young people to change their mindset and focus on becoming financially independent.

Let us teach ourselves to work. Let us teach ourselves to look for money.

TikTok Live has become a popular space for creators and personalities to interact with their audiences, with viewers also able to support them through virtual gifts.

But Zuena’s message to those who regularly ask for money was clear: stop waiting for handouts and find a way to work for yourselves.
