Singer and songwriter Dokta Brain opened up about the importance of music in his life, revealing that if he were forced to choose between losing his sight and hearing, he would rather lose his eyes.
Dokta Brain explained that he has already seen many beautiful things in life, and believes he would still be able to hold on to those memories even after losing his sight.
However, he said losing his hearing would be unbearable because it would prevent him from enjoying music and pursuing his passion for songwriting.
“I would choose to lose my eyes because I believe I have seen many beautiful things and I can still close my eyes and see them. But when I close my ears, I hear nothing. I wouldn’t live a life where I couldn’t hear music or make a song. A mute person cannot write a song and neither can they sing. The beauty of sound is what keeps evolving in us, and I treasure that the most.”
The singer further revealed that one of his biggest fears is waking up one day and discovering that he can no longer write good music.
“I really fear the day I will wake up and cannot write a good song. I’m destined for this and do not wish to wake up and not write a good song. I’d rather not wake up at all.”
