For songwriter Dokta Brain, there are still a few boxes left unticked on his musical bucket list.
And sitting high on that list is one name: veteran singer Bebe Cool.
The hit songwriter, who has already written for several prominent artistes, has revealed that one of his biggest dreams is to one day write a song specifically for the Gagamel boss, an artiste he greatly admires for his ability to interpret, execute and deliver music.
Speaking during an interview earlier today, Dokta Brain said that despite his growing catalogue and collaborations across the industry, he is yet to officially work with Bebe Cool.
Interestingly, the two have already crossed paths musically, although perhaps not in the way one might expect.
“I haven’t worked with Bebe Cool. The only time Bebe Cool sang my lyrics is when he collaborated with Ray Signature because I had written the song for Ray. He wanted a song that was vibe-y, but I think he didn’t know it was me who wrote the song. The song is Koona,” Dokta Brain explained.
But for the songwriter, Koona was only a brief musical intersection.
What he really wants is the opportunity to sit down and deliberately create something for Bebe Cool from the ground up.
Dokta Brain believes the veteran singer possesses one of the key qualities every songwriter hopes to find in an artiste: the ability to take words and transform them into a complete musical experience.
It is Bebe Cool’s delivery, interpretation and execution that particularly appeal to him. According to Dokta Brain, the singer’s experience and vocal ability could give his songwriting a different dimension.
