50 Cent may have already released his last solo album.
The rap star shut down the idea of making another one during a conversation with Ebro Darden on Apple Music’s “Rap Life Review” VERZUZ recap.
When asked if he had one more solo album in him, 50 Cent simply said no.
He explained that hip-hop belongs closely to youth culture and that he has no interest in trying to compete with younger artists for the top spot.
Hip-hop culture is connected to youth culture. You are not supposed to be the hottest in nothing at 60.
That does not mean 50 Cent plans to stop making music altogether. He said he still enjoys creating and working with younger artists.
A full solo album, however, appears to be a different matter.
His last solo project, “Animal Ambition,” came out in 2014, and 50 has since built much of his career around television, film and business.
For fans still waiting for one last 50 Cent album, his answer was not the one they wanted to hear.
But in 50’s view, chasing another major album comeback is not part of the plan.
