Gloria Bugie is still searching for a venue for her first major concert, and even Namboole is not available for now.
Earlier this year, the singer said she wanted to stage the concert in 2025 but pushed the plans because of the campaign season.
As she searched for a new date and venue, she ran into another problem after finding that many venues had no available dates left.
While considering her options, Bugie playfully pointed to Mandela National Stadium, Namboole as a possible choice, saying she wanted a venue with enough space for her fans.
But Namboole has also presented a problem.
Speaking during her latest interview on NRG, Bugie stressed that she is ready to stage the concert and that her fans have continued to demand it. The issue, she said, is finding an available venue.
I am more than ready for a concert. My fans have been demanding one, and I am ready to give them that. The only issue is that the venues are not yet available. I was told Namboole is still booked for AFCON, so maybe after that.
With AFCON running from June 19 to July 17, 2027, Bugie would have to wait until after the competition if she eventually chooses Namboole for the concert.
Still, when asked whether she felt ready for a venue as big as Namboole, Bugie did not sound concerned about the size of the stadium.
Instead, she playfully turned the question around, saying that her bigger concern was finding enough space for all the fans she expects to attend.
I have many fans from all over the world, so I want a venue with enough space. I do not want any of my fans to remain outside the gates.
The concert venue remains undecided, but Bugie insists that she is ready whenever the right space opens up.
