Singer Ssewa Ssewa broke silence about the circumstances that led to the split of Janzi Band, insisting that their separation was not caused by money but rather internal misunderstandings and endless disagreements within the group.
Speaking about the band’s fallout, Ssewa Ssewa said he sometimes looks back and smiles whenever he sees Abeeka Band’s Kevin working and chilling with some of the people he was once asked to remove from the group.
According to him, Kevin had at one point asked him to fire certain crew members, including Allan, claiming that they were the source of problems within the band.
However, Ssewa Ssewa says it is surprising to see the same individuals now getting along and working together.
“Sometimes I stare at Abeeka Band’s Kevin and recall the times he would ask me to fire some of the crew members like Allan, saying he was the band’s problem. But right now, they work and chill together.”
The singer explained that whenever he received complaints about a particular member, he would personally sit down with everyone involved to establish the truth and try to resolve the matter.
Ssewa Ssewa maintained that there was once a strong sense of brotherhood within the group, but confusion created by one individual eventually destroyed their unity.
“If it wasn’t for the confusion that was brought about by one of the individuals in the group, I believe we would be far. The person who confused us knows it very well.”
He further dismissed claims that financial disagreements were behind the band’s separation, stressing that the group was instead torn apart by small misunderstandings and constant bickering.
“The separation arose from that, and it wasn’t about money issues.”
