Veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has died at the age of 66.
His daughter, Kira Taiwo, announced his death during an Instagram Live session on Sunday, August 23, 2026.
The announcement came just days after Kira revealed that her father was battling stage-four cancer and needed urgent medical treatment.
Ogogo spent more than four decades in the Nigerian film industry and became one of the best-known stars in Yoruba-language films.
His death has sparked tributes from fans and fellow entertainers across Nigeria.
The family plans to bury him in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State, on Monday, August 24, 2026, according to Islamic rites.
