Lil Durk has revealed the songs helping him stay motivated behind bars, and Tems’ “Free Mind” sits at the top of the list.
The American rapper, whose real name is Durk Banks, shared the playlist on social media as he remains in custody over an alleged murder-for-hire case.
Meek Mill’s “Nightmares to Dreams,” Jay-Z’s “Some How Some Way,” 2Pac’s “Changes,” 21 Savage’s “I Wish” and Lauryn Hill’s “Freedom Time” also made the cut.
Other picks include Morgan Wallen’s “I’m The Problem,” Fridayy’s “Baddest In The Room,” Jadakiss’ “Still Feel Me,” Kanye West’s “Everything I Am” and Lil Baby’s “Dead Fresh.”
The songs centre on themes of freedom, struggle and survival, giving the playlist extra meaning as Durk faces trial over allegations that he orchestrated a murder-for-hire revenge plot targeting rapper Quando Rondo.
His trial began on August 20, 2026.
