Police have arrested the errant babe suspected of murdering Namuwulya Jovia, who was stabbed to death on 20 August 2026 in Mukalazi Zone, Bukoto I Parish, Nakawa Division, Kampala District.
The suspect, identified as Turindwamukama Patricia Rose, 22, was arrested on 24 August 2026 at a friend’s house in Mbuya, Nakawa Division, following investigations into Jovia’s murder.
Racheal Kawala, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson says the suspect was reportedly preparing to flee the country to Iraq at the time of her arrest.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Turindwamukama applied for an Iraqi visa on 21 August 2026, just one day after the brutal murder of her assumed best friend.

According to Kawala, police have since recovered documents believed to be relevant to the planned travel, which are currently being examined as investigations continue.
Turindwamukama remains in police custody as detectives work to establish the circumstances surrounding Jovia’s death and the suspect’s alleged involvement in the murder.
Police said investigations are ongoing and further details will be provided as more information becomes available.
