Apple has cut more than 200 jobs across teams working on Siri, Vision Pro and software as the company reorganises around artificial intelligence and new devices.
About 100 of the affected jobs came from the Vision Pro division, where Apple has largely shut down a team focused on gaming and reduced its immersive video operation. Another round of cuts affected Siri and software teams, including employees working on AI features.
The shake-up comes as Apple rebuilds Siri with a new AI-focused architecture and shifts resources towards its next generation of products, including smart glasses.
Apple says it will also create new roles as part of the restructuring.
Recent California filings separately show 147 employees will lose their jobs across Cupertino and Sunnyvale, with the cuts scheduled to take effect in October.
