Events promoter Norbert Twezire, popularly known as Nobat Events, opened up about his experiences working with artists in Uganda’s music industry, revealing some of the challenges he has encountered along the way.
Speaking about the difficult experiences he has faced while dealing with musicians, Nobat Events singled out singer Ray G as the most difficult artist he has ever worked with.

He says Ray G appears calm, humble and easygoing whenever he is in front of the cameras, but allegedly becomes a completely different person once the cameras are switched off.
“Ray G is a very, very hard and difficult person to work with. I was the first person to organize Ray G a big and successful music show in Kampala. On camera, you may think that Ray G is too calm and you can simply pour milk on him and bathe with it, but wait until the cameras are off and he bares his teeth. The guy is a different version of what he portrays on camera. I’ve worked with difficult artists, but he tops the list.”
The promoter also revealed that singer Weasel is the musician he most regrets investing money in, claiming that his experience working with him left him deeply disappointed.
Nobat added that whenever he reflects on the money he invested in Weasel, he sometimes breaks down emotionally and chooses to leave the matter in God’s hands.
“The artist I regret investing my money in is Weasel. Sometimes I sit down and cry, but I leave everything to God.”
