Ayra Starr to Make History as First African Artist to Headline NFL Halftime Show

Nigerian singer Ayra Starr is heading to one of the NFL’s biggest international stages.

The “Heaven Baby” singer will make history as the first African artist to headline the halftime show at an NFL international game when she performs in London on October 11.

The NFL announced on Thursday that Ayra Starr will headline the halftime show during the 2026 NFL London Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The performance will form part of the NFL’s 2026 International Games, which will feature a record seven halftime shows across seven countries and four continents.

Reacting to the announcement, Ayra Starr described the opportunity as a dream come true and said she was excited to bring her latest album, “Starrgirl,” to the NFL’s global stage.

I am so excited to perform at the NFL halftime show in London. London is one of my favorite places in the world, and bringing “Starrgirl” to the NFL global stage is a dream come true for me. I can’t wait to see you guys there!

The game will kick off at 2:30 pm British Summer Time.
