“There Is No Innocent Side” — Cindy on Gloria Bugie, Crysto Panda Fallout

Cindy has weighed in on the bitter fallout between fellow singers Gloria Bugie and Crysto Panda, arguing that neither side can claim innocence.

Speaking on Tawfiq Media, the self-styled “King Herself” likened the confrontation to a war, saying both singers traded heavy shots and retaliated when attacked.

I think a war is fair. There was fire from the East, and then came fire from the West. It does not matter how brutal it is; a war is a war. It is fire for fire. There is no innocent side.

Her comments come after the fallout moved far beyond music, with the two singers trading increasingly personal remarks.

Gloria drew heavy backlash over a now-deleted post that brought up Panda’s childhood trauma and the loss of his parents and child.

She later apologised to her fans, while singer Sheebah Karungi intervened and criticised the decision to bring such personal pain into the dispute.

Cindy, however, argued that the controversy should not be viewed entirely through Gloria’s remarks.

She then turned her attention to Panda’s reported comments about Gloria’s body, questioning what happens when a public fight crosses into attacks on a woman’s appearance.

How about targeting someone’s body? This is a woman. Our bodies are sacred to us. We are very sensitive about our bodies, and somebody has taken the time to make herself look beautiful, only for you to downplay all that and say things. That hurts a woman very deeply.

Even while making that point, Cindy did not absolve Gloria.

She acknowledged that Gloria had crossed a line, but argued that Panda had done the same, leaving neither singer in a position to claim the moral high ground.

Much as I can sit here and say what she said was over the line, what he said was also over the line. So, the battle is fair. At the end of the day, I feel like the battle is fair.

Cindy’s position recognises the hurt caused on both sides while questioning whether the public exchange needs to continue.

For her, both singers have had their say, and it may be time for them to step away from the fight.

Everyone should just go back, nurse their wounds, heal, and then let that be over.
