For years, Tricia Pagez was the babe audiences noticed but rarely heard from. Now, she has a microphone of her own.
Before she started singing, Tricia Pagez was already a familiar face in Uganda’s entertainment world. Born in Makindye, she carved out a name for herself as a model and dancer, rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the local music scene.
From dancing alongside Sheebah, Vinka and Karol Kasita to appearing in music videos for A-list acts such as Eddy Kenzo, Tricia spent years learning the entertainment business from the inside.
She was also featured in the visuals for “Baby Mama,” the popular collaboration by Pallaso and Oma Afrikana, adding another big credit to her growing portfolio.
But there was always another side to Tricia.
While she was busy bringing other artists’ music to life through movement and visuals, she was quietly waiting for her own moment.
That moment has arrived.
Tricia has now swapped the dance floor for the recording booth and is stepping out as a singer under Black Magic Entertainment, a label that has played a role in nurturing Ugandan talent, with names such as John Blaq, Martha Mukisa and Oma Afrikana among its notable artists.
It is a bold transition, but perhaps not such a surprising one.
Having spent years surrounded by musicians, producers, dancers, models and video directors, Tricia has had a front-row seat to the making of Uganda’s music industry. She has seen the glamour, felt the pressure and experienced the discipline required to survive in showbiz.
Now, the spotlight is hers.
Her debut single, “Lunabe,” officially introduces Tricia Pagez the recording artist.
The song has already begun creating a buzz, finding an audience on platforms such as YouTube and Spotify, while also making its way onto local media outlets. For a debuting artist, the early reception is an encouraging sign that Tricia may have more than just a familiar face working in her favour.
“Lunabe” is also the beginning of a much bigger story.
