John Baptist Junior Kigozi will remain in custody until September 14 as court proceedings continue over the crash that killed former Next Media employees Isaac Ndamagye and Badru Kasirye.
The 45-year-old appeared before Kajjansi Magistrates Court on August 31, where the prosecution and defence presented witnesses in the case.
Court later ordered Kigozi to remain on remand until September 14, setting the stage for another hearing next month.
The case stems from the August 7, 2026, crash along Entebbe Road in the Namulanda area.
According to the prosecution, Kigozi was driving a Toyota Hilux when it collided with a vehicle carrying Ndamagye, Kasirye and their colleague Brian Makona.
Ndamagye and Kasirye died in the crash, while Makona suffered serious injuries.
Kigozi denied the charges during his first court appearance and has remained in custody as the case moves forward.
The latest hearing brought witnesses from both sides before court, with proceedings scheduled to continue on September 14.
