Pretty Banks: Gloria Bugie, Crysto Panda Feud Should Have Stayed About Music

Pretty Banks has broken her silence on the explosive fallout between Gloria Bugie and Crysto Panda, questioning how a clash over music turned into a battle involving body-shaming and painful family tragedies.

The weeks-long exchange came up during an interview with Galaxy TV, where the Ugandan songstress reflected on the remarks that pushed the feud into more sensitive territory.

For Pretty, anger can get the better of people, but some things should never become ammunition during a heated argument.

It is not necessary, all of it. It is not fun, and it is not nice. Sometimes anger overwhelms you and you do something you should not have done. Personally, I do not appreciate someone using death like that.

Her comments came after the backlash surrounding a now-deleted post by Gloria, in which she referenced the deaths of Crysto Panda’s parents and the loss of his child.

Pretty acknowledged that it can be difficult to simply keep quiet when someone comes at you, but said taking a moment to think before responding can prevent an angry exchange from becoming even more damaging.

The feud also saw Gloria face comments about her body and her ability to sing, alongside claims that she hides behind music while allegedly focusing on adult content and selling her body.

On the music side, Pretty noted that both artists have already faced criticism over their work, so there was no need for their disagreement to move into more personal territory.

It is also not nice because they often tell him as well that he does not know how to sing. They have both been told that they do not know how to sing, and it should have remained about that. We do not have to involve parents, death, or things that are too sensitive.

Pretty stressed that she was not taking sides in the dispute, but insisted that people should never use death as a weapon in a feud.

Both Gloria and Crysto Panda have since apologised to their fans over their conduct during the fallout, with Panda recently making his apology during his stage appearance at the Rotary Cancer Run 2026.
