NUDJV operates under the framework of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), with responsibility for solid waste collection and transportation in Zone 5 and Zone 7, covering areas within Rubaga and Central divisions. KCCA identifies NUDJV as one of the private concessionaires responsible for waste collection and transportation in these zones.
As Kampala continues to grow, effective waste management has become increasingly important. The city generates thousands of tonnes of solid waste every day, creating a critical need for dependable collection, transportation and responsible disposal systems.
