Linus Tattoo Studio was buzzing with excitement and pumping with music as some of Kampala’s top DJs and artists were unveiled for the second edition of Dread Lazer Turn Up, set for tomorrow, September 4, at Kati Kati Grounds.
The performer line-up was revealed at Linus Tattoo Studio in Bukoto recently during a lit pre-game party hosted by Smirnoff, bringing together members of the media, partygoers and some of the confirmed acts for a taste of what is expected to be one of the city’s biggest turn-ups.
DJs Bugy, City Girl, Etania, Kash Pro and Linus Sydney have been confirmed to take over the decks with explosive mixes, while the queen of the mic, Viana Indie, will keep the crowd charged throughout the night.
Adding even more energy to the rave will be Saint Trevor, Josh Mc and Benjhi, who are expected to keep the party moving from start to finish.
If the pre-game party was anything to go by, revellers have plenty to look forward to.
During his sample set, Dread Lazer moved effortlessly from one party banger to another, with each transition seemingly designed to raise the temperature in the room. The performance left partygoers with a taste of the kind of musical marathon expected at Kati Kati Grounds.
Dread Lazer promised an even bigger and more memorable experience on September 4 and urged anyone who has not yet secured a ticket to do so before the party gets underway.
At the heart of the pre-game party was a vibrant Smirnoff takeover, which transformed the otherwise black-themed creative studio with splashes of bold red and a distinctly celebratory atmosphere.
Raymond Karama, Smirnoff Brand Manager, said the brand was ready to bring its party spirit to the event.
“Smirnoff is the ultimate party vodka and we are bringing the entire flavour experience to the turn-up, not forgetting the new Smirnoff Spicy Tamarind, whose sweet and spicy flavour will perfectly match your vibe,” said Karama.
With the DJs, live acts and hosts now revealed, anticipation for the Dread Lazer Turn Up is already building.
