Robert Pattinson Responds to Chris Hansen Criticism of “Primetime”

Robert Pattinson has responded to Chris Hansen’s criticism of his new movie “Primetime.”

The British actor plays a character inspired by Hansen, the television host known for “To Catch a Predator,” in the new A24 thriller.

Hansen has criticized the project and said he did not agree to sign an agreement that would have allowed him to see an early version of the film.

Pattinson, however, says he hopes Hansen eventually likes what he sees.

I hope he likes the movie.

Speaking at the Venice Film Festival, Pattinson also praised the real-life figure who inspired his performance.

There is something magnetic about his presence.

The actor said he watched thousands of hours of Hansen’s work while preparing for the role.

Pattinson also embraced the memes that have emerged around “Primetime,” saying audiences have found creative ways to reuse moments from the film and its trailer.

It is fun to repurpose them.

“Primetime” has already sparked plenty of conversation because of its unusual take on Hansen and the controversial world surrounding “To Catch a Predator.”
