Sheebah Karungi has praised her baby daddy, Jaffar Suleiman, for being a present and loving father to their son, Amir, saying his involvement in their children’s lives has touched her in a deeply personal way.
Sheebah became emotional after taking Amir and his sisters to school for the first time, revealing that Jaffar extended his flight so he could be there for the milestone.
While the moment marked an important new chapter for her son, Sheebah said watching Jaffar embrace his role as a father also brought back memories of her own childhood.
The singer, who grew up without a father or father figure, said seeing her son receive the kind of paternal presence she missed while growing up has been unexpectedly healing.
“There are some things that heal you in ways you can’t explain. As a girl who grew up without a father or a father figure, watching my son have a father who genuinely loves being a dad, shows up, and enjoys fatherhood so effortlessly… heals something in me,” Sheebah wrote.
Sheebah also expressed gratitude to God for giving her blessings she once could not have imagined, describing Amir’s first day at preschool as an emotional and memorable experience.
For her, Jaffar’s decision to be physically present was about more than simply taking their son to school. It represented the kind of fatherly involvement she says she did not experience during her own upbringing.
