Hit songs have brought Pretty Banks and Acidic Vokoz together repeatedly, but their relationship has also attracted a different kind of attention.
Their collaborations, including “Kambaale,” “Akinkubila” and “Butya Bwenagwa Mu Love (Onkubyemu),” have fuelled questions about whether the two musicians are more than creative partners.
For Pretty Banks, the answer is much simpler.
Speaking during a chat with Sanyuka Uncut, she described Acidic Vokoz as one of the few musicians with whom she has formed a close personal connection.
That is my very good friend. Among musicians, I do not have a lot of close friends. Even though I love them all, there are those that you connect with, and he is one of them. He is my good friend, really.
The pair have continued to describe their relationship as platonic, even as their musical chemistry keeps drawing attention.
I like Prima and I don’t mind any criticism because you can’t control what people say about you. – Pretty Banks #SanyukaUnCut #SanyukaUpdates #FfeBannoDdala pic.twitter.com/ml3kupOkEU
