Nash Wonder was once one of the most recognisable names behind Uganda’s hit songs, but his name has become less prominent in recent music releases.
The award-winning producer, born Enock Kubeerwa, has worked with several leading Ugandan artists. His production credits include Goodlyfe songs such as “Maso” and “Helena,” as well as Sheebah’s “Ice Cream” and Kalifah AgaNaga’s “Oyitangayo,” among others.
So, is Nash Wonder still producing music?
During a recent chat on Daily, he explained that commercials and adverts have taken up much of his time, although he has continued producing music.
I am still in production. It is just that previously, adverts had taken most of my time. I have been doing a lot of commercials and adverts for companies and various organisations. But I am still in production.
Beyond music production, his record label and artist management business is still active but now goes by a different name.
The record label is there. Back then, I used to call it Wonder Blaze Entertainment, but now it is called Wonders Just Records, and it manages artists.
Nash Wonder went on to reveal that disappointments from investing in artists made him slow down on that front and think more about personal investments.
When you experience various disappointments, you start thinking more about yourself. I thought it was wise to make some personal investments because, as you know, we are growing older.
But despite those setbacks, he remains involved in artist management.
Never rely too much on people because people can change at any time. But when it comes to artist management, I am still there.
