Sexyy Red faces a $5 million lawsuit from the grandmother of one of her children, who accuses the American rapper of encouraging her followers to attack her.
Nicole Barnes filed the lawsuit in March 2025, claiming Sexyy Red shared her home address and a photo of her house on Facebook before allegedly telling followers to “kick in the door” and commit acts of violence against her.
Barnes says she reported the alleged threats to police and later left her Hazelwood, Missouri, home because she feared for her safety.
She also claims the incident caused severe emotional distress and forced her to seek therapy. Barnes is seeking $5 million in damages.
Her attorney, Steven Weaver, said the dispute between Sexyy Red and the child’s father had nothing to do with Barnes.
Sexxy Red and her baby daddy are getting into beefs, for whatever reason, that have nothing to do with my client.
Weaver also said the two sides tried to settle the dispute privately before Barnes filed the lawsuit.
We did try to informally resolve it, and her attorneys thought it was a joke. And now they’re finding out it’s not.
Sexyy Red has not publicly responded to the lawsuit in the available reports.
The allegations remain unproven, and the case is a civil dispute.
