Ugandan socialite Shanita Namuyimbwa, popularly known as Bad Black, opened up about why she no longer lives the flashy and expensive lifestyle she once displayed whenever she hit bars and entertainment spots.
Bad Black says that in the past, she was driven by the desire to prove herself and would go to great lengths to impress people, including spending millions of shillings in bars while entertaining those around her.
However, she says she has since found peace and no longer feels the need to spend lavishly just to prove a point or win people’s approval.
“Back then, I really wanted to prove myself, but now I have peace. I have moved on from spending millions in bars just to entertain people.”
In her usual cheeky style, Bad Black also joked about people she may have wronged in the past, making it clear that she is not about to hand out apologies for free.
“If there’s a person I wronged out there, I want to tell them that I won’t apologise to them unless they have money.”
She also opened up about her current relationship, revealing that one of the things she values most about her partner is the peace and confidence he brings into her life.
“I am in this relationship because it gave me a lot of peace.”
Bad Black recalled being pleasantly surprised when her partner advised her to stop giving attention to people who do not reciprocate it, reminding her that she is now a big deal.
“I was so shocked when my man told me, ‘Don’t post anyone who doesn’t post you, because now you’re a big deal.’ I like the way he hypes me.”
