Sheebah Karungi has called on the public to be more understanding of celebrities, reminding fans that they are human beings with feelings who face the same challenges as everyone else.
Sheebah made the remarks while hosting fellow singer Winnie Nwagi on her podcast, Let’s Talk About It, where the two discussed relationships, family, and the pressure that comes with being in the public eye.

According to Sheebah, people often judge celebrities more harshly because of their public status, forgetting that they experience many of the same situations as ordinary people.
People forget that we go through the same things as them but they make ours so big yet we are doing the same things.
Sheebah also reflected on the criticism she received after welcoming her child, noting that the child’s father already has two other daughters.
She explained that while people reacted strongly to the situation, blended families are common in Uganda and across Africa.
Recently when I had my baby, my baby’s father has two other beautiful daughters but you’d think I was the first person to have a child with someone who already had kids.
Sheebah added that many families have children who come from different relationships and do not necessarily share both parents.
The singer said she has learned to accept criticism because people often judge situations without knowing the full story.
She, however, admitted that she was surprised by how strongly some people reacted to her personal life simply because she is a celebrity.
All because I’m Sheebah, it’s sad. It’s a blessing and a curse at the same time.
