At a lively event in Bukomansimbi District, Spice Diana delivered her set but walked off with the venue’s laptops, microphones, speakers, and controllers when the promoter skipped her final payment.
She shared her frustration on Snapchat, noting the late-night drive past midnight with no food or pay, adding that her ‘ghetto’ side emerges over money issues.
DJ Crysto Panda backed her bold move, while others debated the need for contracts and managers; fans cheered her stand in Uganda’s tough music scene.
“Spice Diana is right to react like how she reacted in Bukomansimbi because these things happen to musicians and when they refuse to perform for not being paid yall abuse them & call them unprofessional now for her she performed and went with the equipment after??way to go,” Panda wrote.
Last night after performance in Bukomasimbi Artist Spice Diana had an incident following failure of the promoter to clear her payment. She consficated equipment as collateral till shes cleared.
