Dax Vibez has finally addressed the viral “snake in a suit” social media post that sparked widespread speculation across Uganda’s entertainment scene, insisting the cryptic statement was never meant to be taken seriously.
The singer, who had triggered online debate after hinting that Ugandans would soon see “a snake in a suit” at the inauguration ceremony, now says the post was simply a random thought shared while he was bored online.
Speaking during a recent interview, Dax Vibez appeared amused by the frenzy the post created, admitting he had not expected Ugandans to analyze it so deeply.
“I was even bored and speaking my own things. I do not know why you guys take me seriously. I was just there on my own and decided to do a poem, but then I found out it went viral,” he said.
The mysterious wording had sent fans, bloggers, and gossip pages into full speculation mode, with many attempting to decode who exactly the singer could have been referring to.
At the height of the online discussions, some social media users linked the comment to controversial entertainment commentator Kasuku, claiming the “snake” reference was aimed at him.
However, Dax Vibez quickly dismissed those theories and jokingly suggested Kasuku did not even fit the description.
“Kasuku is not the size of a snake. If I’m to address him, I would use something else. Honestly, I wasn’t even speaking about Kasuku,” he said.
The singer further joked that the mysterious “snake” never eventually appeared.
“That is all in the past, and the snake I was talking about didn’t appear. Maybe it got scared and decided to stay back,” he added.
Despite his explanation, the viral post has continued fueling online debate, with some fans convinced there was still a hidden meaning behind the cryptic message.
