Self-proclaimed stage goddess Karole Kasita has opened up about why she is uncomfortable carrying the title of a “wife,” revealing that the label comes with pressure and expectations she feels may not align with her personal vision of life.
The singer, born Carol Namulindwa, shared that while she values love, family, and companionship, she does not see herself embracing the traditional responsibilities attached to marriage.
According to Kasita, when she retires from music, she envisions transitioning into a good businesswoman and focusing on motherhood.
I think I will be a very good businesswoman when music is done, a good mother, and probably someone’s woman, but not a wife.
The artist noted that the title “wife” carries societal pressure and expectations that worry her, especially the fear of disappointing a partner and those around him.
Being a wife comes with titles, and titles come with expectations. I worry that I could disappoint him and even the people who refer to me as their wife. I don’t want that pressure.
She further expressed excitement about growing her family in the future, saying she admires joyful homes filled with love, shared memories, and happiness.
When God wishes, new babies will come in, and memories will be created.
