Why Feffe Bussi’s concert feels bigger than just a show – Sqoop

Kampala’s entertainment industry moved as one on Thursday evening as some of Uganda’s biggest stars turned up in full force to back Feffe Bussi during the official ‘HipHop Ku Ntiko press conference ahead of his much-anticipated concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval this Friday.

What was expected to be a routine media briefing quickly transformed into a celebration of Ugandan hip hop culture, brotherhood, and the growing power of local live music. From chart-topping artists to media personalities, promoters, creatives, and sponsors, the room carried the energy of an industry rallying behind one of its own.

Hosted by media personality Douglas Lwanga, the event attracted a star-studded line up that included Spice Diana, Navio, The Mith, Coco Finger and several other entertainers who came through to celebrate Feffe Bussi’s journey and contribution to Uganda’s rap scene.

Organized by Talent Africa Group, the press conference officially unveiled what is shaping up to be one of the country’s biggest hip-hop concert experiences this year.

Speaking during the event, Aly Allibhai praised Feffe Bussi for building a movement around his music and remaining one of the key forces driving Lugaflow and Ugandan hip hop culture to mainstream audiences.

“Feffe Bussi has built a strong movement around his music and culture. As Talent Africa Group, we are proud to partner on a concert that celebrates Ugandan hip hop and gives fans a world-class live experience,” Aly Allibhai said.

Beyond the announcements and speeches, the mood throughout the event reflected how far Ugandan hip hop has evolved, from an underground movement into a commercially viable and culturally influential force capable of filling major venues and attracting heavyweight brand partnerships.

Now, all eyes turn to Lugogo Cricket Oval where hundreds of fans are expected to gather for HipHop Ku Ntiko – Feffe Bussi Live in Concert on 16th May 2026.

The concert is expected to feature explosive performances, surprise guest appearances, and a full-scale celebration of Ugandan hip hop culture.

Among the artists lined up to support Feffe Bussi are Navio, The Mith, Karole Kasita, Spice Diana, Fik Fameica, Maro, Coco Finger, Da Agent, Vinka, Winnie Nwagi and Lydia Jazmine among others.
